I was finally able to sit down and play with my new Jar if Love stamp set. I love it! There are so many pieces to this set as well as the matching dies, you just want to keep adding more and more elements to your design. It really inspired me to get creative with it. I hope you like it!
I created a shaker card out of the jar. I wasn’t sure how I wanted to do it, whether to make it a separate element or add it under the card. This time I made it a separate piece but I am going to do another one so that it is flush with the face. It is just arranging the pieces the way they look pleasing to you and stick them down. I did add dimensionals to the larger flowers to give them some dimension. I think it came out pretty cute. I’m sure each time I make one it will be different. So much fun!
All the products I used will be listed below. Have fun, and thanks for stopping by.
This is the card that I am teaching at The Midsummer Crop-a-Lot this Saturday. It is one of the Hostess sets from the current Stampin’ Up catalog. Love You Lots! Really cute images in this set. All the supplies used will be listed below except for the sequins, they are from the June Paper Pumpkin Kit. The colors are just perfect and they really gave us alot in this kit!
I just love these flamingos and the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper. They just go together beautifully! I created the first card below using the Pop of Paradise Stamp set, the Pop of Pink dsp and the Layering Love stamp set. I layered the dsp on a black base then used washi from the Pop of Paradise suite to divide the two pieces of dsp. Then I layered a piece of gold glimmer paper and tied a piece of the new ruched ribbon in Flirty Flamingo.
I then stamped the flaming on a piece of whisper white and layered him on a piece of Flirty Flamingo using the new Layering Squares Framelits. I then stamped the Thinking of You sentiment from the Layering Love stamp set with versamark ink and heat embossed onto a piece of watercolor paper. I watercolored the white space with Flirty Flamingo ink and an aquapainter to give it a soft watercolor look. The leaf and pineapple were stamped onto whisper white, fussy cut and layered on top of the flamingo with gold thread behind in a pleasing arrangement.
I really love the way this card turned out! Very tropical and summery feeling. All the products I used will be listed below.

Getting Used to a Routine!
Hi Everyone! I haven't been around for a while. I have never been very good at
keeping a schedule. I have had a few things going on in my other life so I just
loose track of the time. I will get this, other people do it, so can I!
Below is a card that I created with the "floating reinker technique". I saw this
on YouTube in a video created by Sandi MacIver. I love it, it is so much fun. It
is a watercolor technique. First you heat emboss an open image onto watercolor paper,
then you add water to the area you want to color in. Just drop in color and let it
spread and combine and you get results like I did below.
I used Cucumber Crush cardstock cut at 8 1/2x5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4. Basic black, cut
at 4x51/4 for layering. watercolor paper cut at 33/4x5 for stamping and painting. I will
include a list of supplies below.
I plan to be doing a lot more creating with new products form the Stampin' Up
new 2016-2017 catalog which is going live June 1st! Can't wait!
I posted the first page of my 2 page layout the other day. Here is the second page! I really love this color combination, it is very unexpected and I think that it can be used for a male or female layout. I think the matting and layering of the photos adds a lot of interest and texture. Let me know what you think.
The supplies are basically the same as the first page. I will list them below. Again using the Project Life stamp sets made this project really fun and easy. They just seem to have a lot of sentiments that can be used for many different themes. I did use my Cricut for cutting the fonts. I use the Artiste cartridge from CTMH but you could use anything you like. I hope you like it and I hope you try it!
Today I finished a layout that I have been working on for a couple of days. Only a few minutes at a time. I love the way this page came together You can really create some great embellishments to add to your page with stamps and punches and a little imagination. I hope you’ll give it a try, it’s really fun! The products I used are listed below. All are Stampin’ Up with the exception of the Cricut letters and a retired SU banner punch.
The Project Life stamp sets really came in handy on this page. I hadn’t used them much before but, the sentiments and images really lend themselves to traditional scrapbook pages as well as pocket pages.
This week, my favorites are the Envelope punch board and the Leaflets Framelits. I use my punch board all the time. It is simple to use and you can create a whole lot more than envelopes with it! The Leaflets Framelits are just beautiful especially when you use them with the coordinating stamp set, Vintage Leaves (138802). Enjoy!

Treat basket using the Envelope Punch Board
Last weekend I hosted a scrapbooking crop. I like to create little thank you treat holders for all the ladies. Since it is coming upon Easter, I thought it should be Easter themed. I looked at all my various sources for inspiration and came across this cute little “bag in a box” that I found on Sam Donald’s blog. It was really cute and just the right size to fit the cute little Easter treats that I found a Target. The ones that I made were created using retired Sale-a-bration paper. The colors were just perfect and I really want to start using some of my stash of beautiful paper.
Below you will find a list of supplies to make these treat holders. I will include a choice of paper that I think would be beautiful for these as well. I am in the process of creating a PDF tutorial. If I can figure out how to load that onto this blog, I will post below. Thanks for looking! Here is the PDF, Enjoy! PDF-Easter treat holder
You know I always like to post the weekly deals. I like to make sure you don’t miss out on any items you may have been wanting. Enjoy!
